The super small fruit cucumber "Jade Maiden Cucumber" has oval fruits, smooth, thornless and shiny, crisp and sweet. It has a strong female gender, ripens very early, develops fruits quickly, and has a strong fruit setting ability, 1-2 fruits per node, commercial fruit length 4-5 cm, excluding stalk. The average weight of a single fruit is 30 g, and the internode length is 8-10 cm. It is more resistant to low temperatures and low light, and is suitable for protected cultivation in autumn and winter or winter and spring.

Taste and aroma:

The flesh is very crisp and tender and has a sweet taste, unlike some traditional cucumber varieties that tend to be bitter, and is very suitable for eating raw.

How to grow:

• Prepare the soil: Cucumbers need fertile, well-drained soil.

If you use seedlings, transplant them usually within a few weeks of the last frost, depending on the climate and growing season.
• Support: Most cucumber plants require support to keep the fruit dry and out of contact with soil. You can use bamboo poles, trellises, fences, or other support structures.
• Keep it moist: Keep the soil moist, but not too wet. Cucumber plants need regular watering, especially in hot weather. It's best to water in the morning or evening, and avoid watering in the hot sun to reduce the risk of leaf scorch.
• Prevent and control pests and diseases: Check your plants regularly for signs of pests and diseases, such as cucumber beetles or powdery mildew. If a problem is discovered, appropriate control measures can be taken, such as removing the pests by hand or using organic pesticides.
• Harvest: Once the cucumbers are ripe, you can start harvesting. Cucumbers are usually harvested before they increase in size, before the skin becomes shiny and the fruit becomes soft. Regular harvesting encourages the plant to continue producing more cucumbers.
